Samsung vs. Sony Camera
The Samsung NX1 Mirrorless Digital Camera and the Sony
Alpha A7II Mirrorless Digital Camera are both phenomenal cameras that will get
the job done. Both cameras have a market sale price of $1700, and they both
feature auto and manual focus, 1/8” headphone, 1/8” microphone HDMI D, and USB
connectivity, and are both reasonably light weight. Even though these cameras
are similar, I would buy the Samsung over the Sony because of it’s ability to
record video, and its touchscreen feature.
Some differences are shown in the sensors. The Samsung
has a 28.2MP BSI APS-C CMOS sensor, whereas the Sony has a 24.3MP Full-Frame
Exmor CMOS sensor. One out standing feature that the Sony lacks is that the
Samsung also can record videos with it’s 4k video recording at 30 fps and it’s
UHD video recording at 30 fps. Another thing that is different between the two
is that the Sony has a BIONZ X Image Processer, but the Samsung has a DRIMe V
Image Signal Processer. Furthermore, the NX1 is touch screen. The Alpha A7II is
not.
One huge drawback is that the Sony does not come with a
lens. If you do not already have a lens then you will have to pay anywhere from
$200 to 2 grand! A huge advantage for the Sony is that it has a
weather-resistant magnesium alloy body. Also, on the technological side of
things, there is built in Wi-Fi Connectivity with NFC. Lastly, the Sony also
has a multi interface terminal.
As you can see, the Sony Alpha a7II Mirrorless Digital
Camera and the Samsung NX1 Mirrorless Digital Camera have many similarities and
differences. The Samsung can record video, and is touchscreen. The Sony is
without a lens, and if you don’t already have one, you will have to pay loads
of cash to be able to snap a picture. For these reasons, I would buy the Sony
Alpha A&II MIrrorless Digital Camera.
